Brooke Christa Shields (born May 31 1965) is an American model and actress. As a child model she earned acclaim for her work for her lead role in Louis Malle’s film Pretty Baby (1978). She continued modeling through her teens and was a part of various dramas of the 1980s such as The Blue Lagoon (1980) as well as Franco Zeffirelli's Endless Love (1981). In 1983 Shields ended her modeling career to attend Princeton University where she received a bachelor's in Romance Languages.
